Black Dragons Chapter

The Black Dragons are a Loyalist Chapter born of the ill-fated Cursed 21st Founding, their origins shrouded in genetic mystery—though whispers persist that they descend from the gene-seed of the XVIIIth Legion Salamanders. Mutations run rampant in their bloodline, the most infamous being the ossified bone blades that erupt from their forearms and skulls. These are not hidden or shamed—rather, the Dragons sharpen these growths into weapons, forging them into living tools of war.

Recruited from feral death worlds where survival demands savagery, every Black Dragon neophyte is tempered in fire and blood. On the battlefield, they are brutal shock troops, cutting through the enemies of the Emperor with both steel and their own mutated bone-forged claws. Their appearance alone strikes terror into the heretic and the xenos, and even some Imperial allies eye them with suspicion, for their physical form is a living reminder of the Imperium’s darkest genetic experiments.
