Shipping & Handling Policy

1. Shipping Regions & Carriers

  • Domestic (U.S.): We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx (whichever offers the best combination of speed & cost).
  • International: Available to many countries via USPS International, UPS, DHL, or other couriers (depending on destination).
  • Service Levels Offered (subject to availability):
    • Standard / Economy
    • Expedited / Priority
    • Express / Overnight (domestic only)

    2. Processing / Handling Time

    • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days (Mon–Fri, excluding holidays).
    • If your order includes custom or made-to-order items (e.g. 3D prints, custom painting), add additional 3–7 business days depending on complexity.
    • You’ll receive an email confirmation once your order ships, including a tracking number (if applicable).

    3. Shipping Costs & Free Shipping Thresholds

    • All Shipping will be from California, USA
    • Shipping & handling charges are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, destination, and service level.
    • We may add a small handling fee (e.g. for packing materials, insurance, or shipping supplies).
    • Free U.S. Shipping: Orders of $75.00 or more (USD) qualify for free USPS First Class standard shipping within the contiguous United States.
    • For orders under $75, the cost varies based on the buyers location.
    • Free shipping does not apply to expedited or express options — those upgrades must be purchased separately.
    • For international orders, we cannot subsidize all shipping costs; customers pay actual shipping + any duties/import fees.

    4. Packaging & Protection

    • We pack items carefully using bubble wrap, foam, rigid mailers, or padded boxes to protect against damage during transit.
    • Fragile or intricate items may incur a small “fragile packing surcharge” (we’ll disclose this in checkout if applicable).
    • If your package arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and contents and contact us promptly (see Returns section below).

    5. Delivery Estimates & Delays

    • Delivery estimates (shown at checkout) are provided by carriers and are guidelines, not guarantees.
    • In rare cases, delays may occur due to weather, customs, carrier issues, or other unexpected events.
    • We are not responsible for delays once the package is in transit (unless due to our error).
    • For international shipments, customs processing or import duties may cause delays beyond our control.

    6. Tracking & Notifications

    • We provide tracking for all domestic and most international shipments.
    • You will receive shipment confirmation and tracking via email.
    • Please monitor tracking; if you see any significant delays or issues, contact us promptly so we can assist.

    7. Lost, Stolen, or Undelivered Packages

    • Once a package is marked “Delivered” by the carrier, we generally cannot file a claim — the risk passes to the buyer.
    • If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you did not receive the package:
      • First check with neighbors or alternate delivery locations
      • Contact your local post office / courier
      • If you still can’t locate it, reach out to us with evidence (tracking info, address, etc.) and we’ll help investigate.
    • For packages lost in transit (i.e. never delivered), we may file a carrier claim and, upon confirmation, issue a replacement or refund (at our discretion).

    8. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (International Orders)

    • Buyers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and associated fees.
    • We are not responsible for delays due to customs inspections or additional processing.
    • We declare items as accurately as possible (description, value) but will not under-declare price to avoid duties.

    9. Returns & Refunds

    • Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details.
    • In most cases, return shipping is paid by the buyer, unless we made a mistake (e.g. wrong item sent, item defective).
    • We recommend using a tracked/shipped method when returning items — we are not responsible for packages lost in return transit.
    • Once we receive the returned item and verify its condition, we’ll issue a refund minus original shipping and any restocking/handling fee (if applicable).

    10. Exceptions & Disclaimers

    • In rare cases (e.g. remote locations, high shipping costs, restricted
    • countries), we may contact buyers to confirm or negotiate shipping terms.
    • We reserve the right to refuse shipping to addresses known to have high rates of fraud or returns.
    • This policy may be updated over time; the version in effect at the time of order governs that order. 

    CURRENT ESTIMATED SHIPPING RATES

    Costs by destination as of March 15th, 2025.

    Our carriers only pick up orders on business days, and it may take a couple of hours for the status to update online. If you order was shipped on Saturday, you will be able to see a status change on Monday evening the earliest. Order can be tracked though your domestic postal service websites once they enter your country. Simply use the same the same Canadian Post tracking number.

    Please remember that these delivery times are strictly estimates and do not include the time it takes to produce your order (usually a week to 10 business days). However, this will vary depending on the size of your order and the demand of each vendor. Nor does it account for delays caused by an international pandemic, supply-line shortages, shipping embargoes, or other unforeseen disasters or issues outside our control.

    • Rest of World (Delivery Time Varies**): $ 36.99*

    NOTE: Prices may not include VAT or other international Sales Tax. Our sales levels do not reach the limits required to collect and remit taxes in most countries. You may be responsible to pay a customs fee or duty on your order when your package is delivered depending on your country's international sales laws.

    *Additional fees may be applied to packages weighing over a pound. Some larger model kits and large quantity orders may exceed this limit. For these shipments expect an additional $5-$10.

    **Due to service limitations by our carriers as a result of internal policies or international trade embargoes and economic sanctions, we are unable to ship to the following countries. More information can be found at the websites of our carriers UPS, USPS and DHL.
